How to make the yard winter ready?

In order to get not all the hard work wasted, you have to make your outdoor space ready before the winter comes.

The best time to make the place ready when fall arrives. Garden maintenance can prove to be a tougher task especially when it comes to preparing it for winter since much look after would be needed to do for avoiding the garden get damaged in cold weather.

Garden trees and plants need some preparation for the season next to come. It’s important to provide some rest and the time in this regard is winter. Plants and trees need everything in optimal condition before hitting the first frost to avoid being frustrated to arrange all things in the last moment.

Putting all the annuals would be the first thing to do and short list it in your to-do tasks. Commonly, they will die before the first frost falls so avoid leaving them in the garden or else, be prepared to find them decayed and rotted. The good place to throw them is where you throw your compost heap so ignore putting them outside.

Besides, if you consider throwing them in your compost heap, they may act as fertilizer the time you need for your garden. To avoid them getting rot and mold, consider cutting back the perennials.
